Psychic Detectives

The TV show about Psychic Detectives has the population again interested in psychics. Watching these psychics help the police solve crimes has overflowed into the fiction writings where witches and psychics have helped their authors to become best sellers.

Although the general population believes that there is something to this ‘psychic stuff’, we still find holdouts that call all psychics crackpots and charlatans. A good police person goes with what he/she calls a “gut instinct” and a good newsperson claims that they can “smell the story”. These people may not realize it but they too are using their psychic abilities. How many times have you known something or felt something that no one else seems to know or feel? This is using your psychic abilities no matter what words you may use to describe the feelings or knowledge.

How do these psychic detectives work? Each psychic has their own special abilities that they use to help solve crimes. One psychic insisted that the body was in a certain woods. These woods had been gone over just a few days before and the body was not found but the psychic kept insisting that it was there covered over with leaves. This time when the searches went out they did a more thorough search and found the body in some bushes covered with leaves. Another case the psychic saw chicken feathers. The body of the child was found in a chicken yard. Sometimes the person is found and the psychic helps to identify the murderer. They see initials and sometimes even a name. They get a picture of the killer in their mind’s eye so they can describe him perfectly. Then there is the psychic that is empathic. They can see the murder through the eyes of the victim and sometimes even the killer.

A popular TV show about the FBI has a psychic on the FBI’s staff. Something she sees or hears causes pictures of what had happened to pop into her vision. Being a psychic detective can be like that. Often it is just a small thing that triggers a vision or a hunch.

Some psychics need to touch something of the kidnapped person. Then like a bloodhound they can key into where the kidnapped person is.

There is also another type of psychic. This psychic uses tools in the same way that the psychic used the belongings of the kidnapped person. These tools are usually either a pendulum or dowsing rods. Pendulums and dowsing rods can be interchangeable as it depends on how they are used.

A child was kidnapped and the psychic used her pendulum over a map of the city. The pendulum dipped at a certain address. When the police arrived at the address they found the child. In this case the kidnapper was just a disturbed young woman who wanted to keep the child for her own. Another time the psychic used a pendulum to trace the kidnappers across the country. The police were able to shut down and arrest an illegal adoption ring.

Not all psychic detectives work finding missing persons. One psychic was highly successful finding oil for one of the big oil countries. He’d sit at his desk in the states with a huge map in front of him and his dowsing rods in his hands. When the rods dipped that is where he said oil could be found. Invariably he was correct.

Would you like to try being a psychic detective using either a pendulum or a dowsing rod? Here a way to try to see if you also can “see” using these two tools.

The easiest tool to make is a pendulum. Almost any neck-chain and a pendent can become a pendulum. When ISIS was young the in thing to do was to make our own pendulums using a sewing needle, some thread, and a cork. We threaded the needle and then pushed the needle half way through the cork. Our favorite past time was deciding the sex of an unborn child. After we had made the pendulum we let it hover over the prospective mother’s stomach. If the pendulum swung one way the child would be a girl. The other way and it would be a boy. If you have made your pendulum hold the thread easily or just let it rest on one of your fingers. Tell the pendulum you want it to make a “Yes”. When it starts to move and you are sure it is a “Yes” tell it to stop. Then tell it to show you a “No”. Now ask it a question you know the answer to. When you have decided that the pendulum is correct in the questions whose answers you know as a question whose answer you don’t know but can find out. Only when the pendulum has successfully answered these questions correctly can you start it on something more difficult.

Making a dowsing rod is not difficult. All it takes is two wires similar to coat hanger wires. Bend the wires into the shape of an “L”. The _ becomes the handle and on the handles you need to put beads or some type of cylinder so that the handles swings easily. Once your dowsing rods are made you can practice with them. At one time the utility companies used dowsing rods to find their water pipes and their gas pipes. The rods seemed to come together whenever they were near these pipes.
